Still a masterpiece

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently received this as a gift from my girlfriend. I was so excited to finally own a piece of such an incredible brand. I've admired Chanel fragrances from afar for a few years now and have never picked one up, no real reason just a preoccupation with other brands and houses. First I'll say that this fragrance is a beast for a freshy. It lasts and projects for quite a while, at least 6-8 hours for me and longer on clothes. I love to see that Chanel still fights to uphold performance in a world with tighter and tighter IFRA restrictions on ingredients. Since it debuted in 2010, this fragrance has surely undergone some reformulations to abide by various regulations over the years in Europe. Despite this, it still really blew me away. The smell is fantastic, clearly the king of blue fragrances, even after fifteen years of copycats and additions to the genre. It performs very differently on my skin versus a blotter so do yourself a favor and spray this on the wrist and walk with it a bit. The other editions are fire too but something about this one really got me. Might pick up the Parfum at some point down the road because I really loved that one too, but for now I'm loving this. I rang in the new year with this on. Cheers.
