Problems with sprayer!

This is the second Bissell carpet cleaner I have purchased, again I have problems with the sprayer not working after only using a few times. I will never purchase a Bissell cleaner again.

Highly recommended!

We researched carpet cleaners and, based on what we read, we ordered the Bissell ProHeat Upright to clean the carpets ourselves. It was the right decision! We cleaned them at our leisure and were impressed by the professional-quality results. Wow! What a great machine!

I have been paying professionals to clean my carpets for years, we have two big labs and they lay all over the place...even though they have pet beds they sleep wherever they want to. Never and I mean never has the carpet been so fluffy and clean. It dried within 24 hours. If you follow instructions and use it as directed...it's a sheer miracle.machine...gets out all the stains with the spot treatment and it's lightweight and easy to use. Does stairs great too! Says you can use it on wood floors...I haven't done that yet...but I may try that too. Thank you for making such a great tool for the average homeowner...my carpet isn't just clean..it's awesome clean and so fluffy to walk on. No matted by heavy soaps. What a great machine!!!!!

It worked well, until it didn't.

Have had this for about two years. Used a couple times to deep clean carpeting while doing minor home refurbishment, and didn't want to buy new carpeting. Is is easy to operate, and lightweight enough (without the tank) for me to take up and down stairs. The hose was only long enough to do half the staircase at one time, but was long enough to clean car upholstery. However, the water/solution spray on both the upright and accessories just stopped while I was cleaning. Troubleshooting did not help. Calling Bissell only led to, "Your warranty is expired. Take it to a service center at your own cost or buy a new one." I suppose that compared to the cost of professionally steam cleaning my entire house, I got my money's worth, but it's a shame that it doesn't last longer. Best advice is to treat this as temporary and save money for the next one.

So far, a good carpet cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, it seems to work well. We had a large area rug which needed to be cleaned and it did a pretty great job - the colours seem much brighter now. We vacuumed the rug first so don't know how it deals with hair/large dust/etc, nor can we comment on the long-term, but the fact that it offers a 2 yr (limited) warranty bodes well for the expected longevity. #sweepstakes
