Not what they used to be

It saddens me to see how cheaply made Birks are now. The metal has been replaced with cheap plastic material and the "leather" is thin and hard. As soon as I took them out of the box I knew I was returning them. Went ahead and tried them on and they were scratchy and dug into my foot. Terrible.

Buyer Beware Narrow Width

I love the design and quality of these shoes but noticed how narrow they were. I double checked the description which said regular width true to size. This is not true! Bloomingdales needs to update the description to medium/narrow width. If you look inside the sandal, the foot symbol indicates narrow width by being colored in. When the foot symbol is traced, that means regular/wide width. Don’t waste your money and time if you have a wide foot. Go on Birkenstock’s actual website and get more options with accurate descriptions for the same price.

Not for me

I bought these after reading several reviews, to take with me to a long trip to Europe. They are so uncomfortable! I cant even wear them around the house. They make my feet hurt so bad :(
