Reallly nice set, great for gifting for guys

I THOUGHT IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, ESPECIALLY BEING ABLE TO GET THE MONOGRAMMED LETTER ON IT! Sadly, my husband didn't like it, so I had to return it-he's just too picky!

Bad design.

This is a very pretty set to look at, and seems to be very well-made. Feels very solid, I like the way the handle feels in hand. That said, the shaving head is very poorly designed. The blades it’s so close to the bottom plate there is no gap, so this is terrible to shave with. Even after three passes with the grain, against the grain, across the grain, I still do not end up with a close shave. I haveTo re-shave using a different razor for closeness. I used the same Merkur blade that I use in my Merkur razor. Also find it interesting that it is open comb on one side, and closed on the other.

Impossible to hang razor and brush on the stand

The circular hooks on the stand for the razor and brush weren't the correct diameter and the razor and brush simply fell off when you tried to hang them on the stand. I returned the item. Very poor design.

This was a great gift for my dad but I wish the letter engraved was a little more visible.
