Love these inspiring women collections

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love what the doll stands for and the doll itself. I purchased two of them.

Disappointed

This issue in the 'Inspiring Women' series was nothing but one disappointment after another. I started collecting pop culture Barbies in the mid 90s...they have increasingly become cheap and never representative of the promos. The hair is a rats nest and the doll has the stiff Fashionista legs. The fashion is poorly constructed and the glasses were screened so badly - the design barely shows on one side. Not a fan. Mattel needs to step up their game.

Great detailing

After missing it the first time around - it sold out quickly - I was finally able to get my hands on it. It was well worth the wait. The outfit is gorgeous. Face is beautiful and looks exactly as pictured. I bought two so I could keep one boxed.

Attention to detail

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very happy with this addition to my Barbie collection. Her outfit, glasses name tag etc are great detail. The only thing I changed was getting her a better pearl necklace. The plastic one the came with just didn’t do it for me so I added a vintage white pearl necklace. She looks great

Lovely and Important

This Katherine Johnson is overall fantastic, both for the way she looks and for the historic figure being honored. I did give her only 4 stars because I feel the body (especially arms) is too skinny, a problem that's also visible on the Frieda doll in this series. Another reason for the 4 stars is because her hair in the box was sloppily packaged, which is a problem that has become too common with Barbies within the past two years. It used to be that most Barbies' hair would look great in the package, but that consistency is no longer the case: very frustrating if you want to keep the doll in the box, bc then her hair will remain perpetually mussed. Other than those two criticisms (skinny body and poorly packaged hair), I'd say the Katherine Johnson doll is a winner.

Knees don't bend

When I got this doll I was happy until I unwrapped her. She is a pretty doll but her hair did not look anything like the photo. She can't bend her knees and I think they should all bend their knees and arms. Collectors spend a lot of money on these dolls and I mean a lot of money and I don't think it's right to get dolls that don't look like the photo or don't have knees and arms that don't bend. I don't want to go back to the 60's
