Web ID: 12076349It brought me to tears
I’m a LAKA (left above knee amputee. I’m 28, and I’ve been an amputee for 3 years. The other day I was shopping for my sons birthday present, and noticed an amputee Ken through my peripheral. IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. I love the progression, I love that Barbie is normalizing disabilities. It absolutely warms my heart, and I have every intention of ordering one for every kid I know. It’s spreading awareness.

The doll was perfect.
I gave the doll to a friend of mine who has leg problems and she loved the doll.
Inclusive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The girls love this barbie, it helps them see the differences in people also in their toys. They were comfortable role playing with this barbie, helping with her prosthetic and teaching other barbies about her. She gave them new role play opportunities.

My daughter loved this Barbie
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to have some of my daughters dolls be more inclusive and not all look like her. I wasn't sure how my daughter would like this Barbie, but she loves it. This doll will save me the embarrassing loud questions like "Mom why does that person's leg look like that" and such. Instead I will get "Look Mom, that person has a leg just like my Barbie". My daughter is 6 and is enjoying this Barbie. She even wrote out her own review of this doll. She wrote that she likes the green eyes, earrings, lipstick on lips, loves the dress and loves her hairstyle. The new clothes of this line of Barbies reminds me of the 80s. My daughter liked the dress. The dress annoyed me a bit because it climbs up some on the legs. But, considering my daughter was having the doll do gymnastics it was probably easier for her to move it around. And my daughter did not mind. The doll does have pretend underware molded in the plastic. The doll comes in a reusable plastic case, which zips open and close on the side. I think it is a great idea to make the packaging be reusable. Overall my daughter loves this doll.

My daughter loves her!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barbie® Fashionistas® Doll #121 was an awesome suprise. Her uncle had to have both legs amputated and she is so happy they make Barbies like this. This barbie is her all time favorite to play with. She takes her absolutely everywhere she goes!

Wonderful way to introduce diversity!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old LOVE this Barbie! Her outfit is adorable AND the fact you that Barbie can has a prosthetic leg, was a wonderful way to have a conversation with my daughter about diversity. My daughter plays with her Fashionista Barbie just as she dies with all of her other Barbies-one big happy family in the Barbie DreamHouse!
