BandaiGundam SEED Astray RG Gundam Astray Red Frame MBF-PO2 1:144 Scale Model Kit

One of the better early real grades.

Been looking for the real grade Astray red frame for a long time. Unlike the Amatsu Mina, this doesn't need a stand. Beautiful design, great proportions, excellent articulation, and tons of details and sticker style decals. I do not recommend this for as an entry level kit. Lots of very small parts, cleanup can be a little tedious, and the premolded inner frame on all early real grades freaks me out every time I move it. Never broke an inner frame, broke every thumb on the RG "posable" hands I've ever seen so it's not like it can't happen. Be gentle, work the parts around a little and check to make sure everything slides, bend, and folds right before laying on the armor. That said, great kit. If you like the Red Frame Astray design or have wanted to build an older real grade but are afraid of the issues you constantly hear about, this is a good one. As far as I'm aware this and the RX-178 MKII (Titans and AEUG) are the only ones with few to no issues in the early RG line. I should also point out this kit is a bit hard to find at retail price if you can find it period. I just spent 6 months on a backlog waiting list to find it cheaper on barnes and noble who shipped it in just 3 days of purchasing it for less than the other website which genealogy has good prices. Came in great condition btw. Wish I had pictures but I haven't built it yet. Seen it competed in person and it's internal structure is identical to the Amatsu Mina Gold Frame Astray, so I can at least say I've seen it first hand and built its gaudy, janky, beautiful golden brother. Plenty of reviews on YouTube if you're still undecided, but I highly recommend it to moderate to experienced builders and those a little greener looking for a bit of a challenge... also this is the RG Red Frame Astray for under 35 bucks... I do not recommend passing it up as I've spent way to long waiting to get my hands on one and refusing to pay scalpers and resellers double what barnes and noble is asking. If anyone from barnes and noble sees this. Thank you, not only for the excellent service, but just carrying Gundam models in general at excellent value. You guys have been nothing but excellent to deal with both online and in person.
