Cute dress but material is thick

The material on this dress is a lot thicker than it appears in the photo on the website. It's almost like the type of material that blue jeans are made of.

I’m just obsessed with this dress! Great material.I’m 5 2 160lbs and it fit comfortably into a large with a little room to spare. I’m a size 36A and the chest area is not tight. Planning to wear this dress with cowboy boots and hat for brunch in Nashville.
