Beautiful well made dress

This dress is of excellent quality. However, the fabric is quite stiff and I think it would be too heavy for a warmer climate. The neckline would bother me too in the heat. The sleeves were too puffy. I am 4ft 11 so perhaps this just wasn't a great dress for me.

Stylish but overwhelming for a petite frame

As other reviews have noted, the dress is very well-made. Unfortunately, the Size 4 does not suit a petite frame (5'1", 118 lbs), and I suspect that even a Size 2 wouldn’t offer a better fit. The cut falls straight from the chest to the waist, relying solely on the belt to define the shape. The flounce hem adds extra volume, which can overwhelm a petite frame, especially since the length falls close to the knees. As it stands, the dress seems better suited for someone taller. A family member even rated the fit a zero, commenting that it made me look noticeably heavier. For reference, the eyelet details on the sleeves add an airy touch, but overall, the fabric feels heavy and may not be ideal for hot summer weather.
