I purchased the fingertip towel more for decoration than anything else. It's not very absorbent but it does dry the bathroom sink surface of water.

After washing using the delicate cycle on my Bosch washing machine, the white “backing” behind the decorative border began to tear into shreds. This was within 4-6 weeks of use. I dried the towels using an outdoor line, not in my dryer. I had bought 4 of the bath, hand and fringed towels as well as shower curtains and bath rugs. I returned 3 of the bath, hand and smaller fringed towels. Also returned some rugs and shower curtains. They are lovely to look at but impractical for “normal” use. They may work in a guest bathroom where you expect few guests but not for everyday use. So disappointed, even more so because I asked the saleswoman about my concerns. She assured me no one had complained to her. Too many doodads for day to day use. Buyers beware!
