Aura auto crop is insulting. Would NOT recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will not recommend Aura to professionals, creatives, or visually inclined individuals, which is unfortunate--as I'd really looked forward to using the product. Set-up was easy, but my praise of Aura ends there. I work professionally in the film and photo industry, and I take the composition of my photos very seriously. If your photos aren't the exact resolution of the frame (and 35mm scans are not), Aura auto-crops your photos to display what it believes is the "area of interest". It crops landscape photos on the sides, and it crops portrait photos significantly. You have the option to go in and resize photos individually, but there's no overall blanket auto setting option to display the photos fully with borders on this sides. These photos are my work and I'd like for every photo (in portrait and landscape) to always display in the full, non-cropped composition. I think it’s wildly insulting for Aura to assume they know “the best” orientation for my photos.
