Get the cabling right!

It’s big, it’s powerful and does a great job speeding up my graphics. Installation was somewhat challenging. Get the power cabling right or nothing works, PCIe 8pin to 2+6 x 3 to the supplied 8pin x3 females to 16 pin male splitter. Use none of the pigtails on the PCIe - use only 3 separate cables! If you are short of a PCIe cable (my PSU only came with two). A cpu 8 to 8 pins will simply not work! Nothing turns on, not the fans, not even the bios displays, so the pin numbers are irrelevant determinants of functionality. Your power supply knows so don’t try to fool it. Get it all fight and presto you have wonderful graphics performance. Documentation sux

Coil whine

Performance of this GPU is really great. But there is one issue whenever GPU is under load it produces a loud coil whine thats the only downside of tuf series GPU’s

Worth it if you got the extra $ to spend

Runs great, plays most games at 144+fps on 1440p max(no RT) settings. temps have never been over 72°(no OC). its not too loud at 100% fan speed.

Great

Amazing, sadly my display went out after three months of owning this. I’m currently awaiting the Asus team to receive it but so far the team has been amazing at communicating and helping me with some issues I had during shipment.

Asus TUF RTX-4080

A very easy install once I had case able to handle the length if the card. The card itself is awesome. And the included stand-off cone in handy when worried about the weight of the card and it possibly causing issues down the road. The card is a beast as it is out if the box. Best card I have had so far. Running it on an Asus ROG Strix Z790 board.

It's a quiet beast.

This card is quiet and worth the money. You can overclock it for sure, but if you undervolt it, you will more than likely never hear the fans. I've yet to go past 60c on temperatures. The high end 4000 series cards are comically large, so make sure to use the included sag bracket. The included 12VHPWR does the job, but I'm afraid of bending it due to the horror stories on the internet. If you have a 12VHPWR from your PSU, use that instead of the adapter. This card will handle 1440p/165hz and even some 4K/120 ( if you are able to use Frame Generation in the game; a solid 4K60 otherwise).

Good card, bad temps over time.

Great card but temperatures have been increasing since I bought it. Starting to become concerning with hotspot temps reaching above 110c

Why pick the 4080 card over others

I like this graphics card not only because of the speed and it is the latest but that is from a company that I trust in all of my custom computer builds. I find that they last an extremely long time, my last one it's still going after 7 years, and that when it comes to installation I have never had an issue.
