Lovely Material, Horrible Chemical Smell

I really liked this robe. However, upon opening, this horrific chemical smell from the robe was too overwhelming. Maybe washing it would have helped, but I didn’t want to see if that worked or not. Why can’t retailers just sell clothes that don’t smell of chemicals when brand new?

Chemical Smell Overwhelming!

Why do new clothes have horrid chemical smells? This item is absolutely rancid - had to air out the room it was so awful. Cute design but not at the cost of my health! Will have to hermetically seal the bag when I’m returning this.

Don’t pass on this robe.

This is an amazing robe for the price. The softest? Not necessarily, but highly absorbent and quite heavy. I love the shorter length as well.
