Web ID: 18875667Easy to Install…Check Waste Water Tubing for Leak
Installation was easy and straightforward, however after about 2 years of service while replacing my third round of filters, I noticed water leaking at the blue fitting. I have a permeate pump and it pulses waste water through the black tubing which shudders pretty significantly on each pulse. The black tubing also sagged from the fitting due to natural gravity. The black tubing was pushed almost all the way out of the fitting. I was able to push it back in, but it still leaked a very small amount. I was able to remove the tubing and trimmed off about 3/4” and reinstalled it. Worked fine from then on. Strongly recommend to check this connection every time the filters are changed. Also, the manufacturer should consider adding a rubber or plastic bend restrictor to straighten the tube for an inch or two before it goes into the fitting. A bend restrictor could also attenuate the pulsing and stabilize the connection particularly on units that pulse the waste water through this tubing.
