Maybe I got a bad pair?

I'm 5'6", @145 lbs for reference and fairly curvy. Purchased size large and while they fit well in the seat and thighs, these were weirdly long and puffy in all the wrong places, not at all as I'd imagined from the photo and reviews. Rise and length much higher/longer than described. Quite high waisted, way too much fabric across the front (gave the impression of pleats, ugh), the knee pockets were more at the shin, and the length...the leg is so long fabric puffed over the elastic cuff at the ankle. Felt like I was wearing twill 90s parachute or clown pants. Sadly returning.
