Love this series!

This book was definitely much slower paced compared to the rest and it felt like a break to be honest from the fast paced craziness in all of the others so I really enjoyed this!

Not really sure what happened

I'm a little disappointed with this book as a whole. First, where was all of Juliette's character development that we got from book 3? I was just starting to warm up to her and then I was so incredibly frustrated with her in this book. One thing I really dislike about her character is that every time there's a bump in the road, she'll completely shut down. It reverses all of the progress she's made. Even in previous books, she keeps talking about how everyone's lying to her (by omission) and I honestly don't blame them for not believing she could handle things considering she'll just whine about it. I want to be more sympathetic and remind myself that she's just seventeen but it's such a repetitive theme and it seems like she hasn't learned anything after four books. There was so much miscommunication in this book; Juliette just refused to listen to people explain and already made her mind to cut them out before she even fully grasped the situation. I expected more from Juliette, especially after all they've been through. Honestly, I can barely remember what happened in this book, and after finishing, I'm just really hoping that her character arc doesn't spiral out of control for the rest of the series. We were doing so well after Ignite Me. Some things I did like about this book though - Aaron and Kenji's new dynamic together was top tier; dual POV (I'm SO happy with this); oddly enough, the very few moments where Adam appeared and tried to bridge the gap with Aaron (although I think I'll always remember what he was like in book 3 and have lingering feelings about that...); diving deeper into Aaron's character and learning about both his and Juliette's background through his perspective. My feelings for this series has been all kinds of up and down so I'm just really hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the end of it all.

I loved this book.

This book was amazing. It's one of my favorites in the series so far. It kept me hooked the whole time. It ended with a cliff hanger. It was so good. I can't wait to read the next one. I will be buying it very soon. And omg she has a whole different name. I don't know if it said it earlier in the book. But i was so surprised. Juliet grew so much. She is so much stronger and stand up for herself now and a lot better at controlling her powers. Everyone I feel like had character development.

Action-packed

Another action-packed installment of this series. I am never disappointed by Tahereh Mafi’s characters and plot twists. Just when you think you can trust her, she takes a left turn.
