This is an excellent product to use with beginning students.

great product for small group math skills!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. The 10 -Row Rekenrek Counting Frame is just what I needed to provided small group reinforcement during math groups. This is a great product for reinforcing numbers and place-value up to 100. As a kindergarten teacher, I am able to use this counting frame in a small group setting to provide both reteaching and enrichment opportunities. My struggling students were able to work on subitizing and understanding those tricky teen numbers, while other students were able to work on place-value up to 100. Students are able to use the counting frame once a day during math stations with the support of an adult in the group. The students LOVE moving the beads to create a number. Many times they will take turns creating a number with the math rack, while the other students write this mystery number on their white board. They are gaining so much number sense while having so much FUN! I highly recommend that if you buy this product, you use in in a small group setting. The beads are quite small, and difficult for a whole class to see the beads. Other than that, the 10 Row Rekenrek is great for a primary classroom! I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to teach subitizing, teen numbers, and number sense.

Great visual

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tool to help understand 10 and all the ways to break it up. My 8 year old loves using it to help with homework and my 4 year old likes to just push the red and white pieces back and forth! My 4 year old also loves to count the pieces while pushing them to the other side. Perfect for counting to 100!!!! This a super helpful resource for early learners!
