Great for exploring life underwater!!
Living by in the country and by the sea there are lots of things to explore, we often go walking near rivers and rockpools so I knew this would be perfect to take with us. My 3 and 6 year old find it easy to use, once the batteries are in there is one button to work the light and then it just need extending for focus. The girls have loved using it to see life under the water close up, they also enjoy using it in the bath and putting their toys at the bottom!! It has been out many times with us and still works fine, its robust and not too heavy to carry around. This is a definite must for exploring near water.

We liked this product
My two children enjoyed using this product in the rock pools. Although they are aged 6 and 9 they did need a lot of support to use this product as the way the focus works is quite difficult to get the hang of. It was fun to look at the temp of the water and the people around were asking where we got it from!

A must for any avid fish fan
A selected this product as I have a fish obsessed child. I thought he would be able to use it while out fishing. This product is large and aimed at 8 years and older, but younger children would be able to use it with help from an adult. Once it arrived my son was very eager to try it. The SeaScope requires 3 batteries which were easy to fit. To get the best out of this product you need to use it in water that isn't murky. It would add an extra dimension to rock pooling and pond dipping activities, which we intend to do next.

Rock pooling fun
My son's favourite thing is being outdoors, and so I am always looking for new ways to feed his interests. We live on the Norfolk Broads so are never far from the water when we go on walks so I got the seascope to see what we could discover beneath the water's surface. We recently took it to West Runton beach in Norfolk - famous locally as a site of geological and scientific interest. Britain's most complete mammoth skeleton was discovered there! When the tide goes out it is a great place to go fossil hunting in the rock pools. Armed with our seascope we explored for ages. We saw some tiny crabs, interesting seaweed and all kinds of sea creatures. Plus some lovely rocks, which we pretended were 'fossils' we mustn't take with us but could look at through the scope! The light really helped with viewing our discoveries, my only criticism of this product is that it could include batteries considering the price of it. But that's a minor thing.

Explore the waters
I chose this product as we live in the lake district and with access to so many lakes thought this would be fun to use over the summer holidays. My children, aged 2-8 have loved taking it to explore the waters. Great little light on it helps to see better in the water too. Has provided hours of fun on the lake shores. Would also be great to use when pond dipping or rock pooling. We even used it in the bath! Be careful when washing it though as it can be tricky to put back together. Requires 3 AAA batteries too.
