Other occasion to buy:My gift for my son came with two broken drawers, very disappointed with Macy’s return policies.. jumping through hoops to get this replaced due to the fact that I ordered it online.. I’ll think twice before buying anything else from this retailer

Company ships directly and item damaged

It ships directly from vendor & Macy's should stop carrying this vendor. Item was opened & resealed with broken styrofoam. I believe it was a return and never should have shipped. Chopped wood on drawer as well and scratched on side back corner. As other review states glued in ring holder is a bad idea and there should be two ring compartments. I have to return because vendor ships item & Macy's doesnt.

Mostly satisfied

I bought this box mainly as storage for my small-but-growing watch collection plus various items. The box is sturdily built with nice finish. The four compartments under glass include two removable watch pillows and one set of ring holders that I don't think can be removed (glued in, I believe). That's a shame, I would have relocated that accessory elsewhere, such as the drawer. Frankly, I would have preferred having four watch pillows; as it stands, I have two watches sitting on pillows in the case comfortably and a third in its cubby with no pillow just sitting on its side, kind of sad-like. As it's under glass, I'm led to believe this is intended for display but the lack of pillows works in the opposite direction. Another observation about the watch cubbies: one of my watches is a bit bulky and when it's mounted on the pillow, it sits high enough that the glass top taps the watch face, so be warned if clearance is a concern. But for the price, it's a very good valet box overall!
