Though a technical person, I love physical books so I was intrigued when I saw Bibliophile as part of a display at Barnes & Noble about...well...books. I thought the concept of a collection of illustrations about books with snippets about them and various other literary topics such as bookstores and libraries worked very well. It's not the kind of book you sit down and read for an extended period, though you could if you wanted. It's also not a coffee table book in my opinion. It falls somewhere in between; I would read a few pages here and there, enjoying the book covers, some of which I recognized and others I did not. I even learned of a few books I would like to read! There are some places where the book seems a little "woke" in how it treats certain books and topics, but it is not in your face about it. However, her sequel appears that it will go more in that direction so I will end my reading of this series here with good feelings about Bibliophile
