Sweet and classic

The scent lingers for a couple of hours, but doesn’t last throughout the work day. Overall this compares to my other perfumes and I will continue to use!

Sweet and strong scent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re a fan of super sweet scents, this is for you. It smells like a vanilla cupcake! And it lasts! It’s like a luxury version of Warm Vanilla Sugar from my childhood. I don’t like smelling like food which is why I removed one star.

Afternoon Delight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first smell that kicks in once you spray Replica Afternoon Delight is Vanilla. Then the Madeline Accord and Sandalwood lightly kick in. It is definitely a warm and cozy perfume mostly for winter time in my opinion. The smell transports me to a cold and relaxing afternoon and me enjoying an espresso, alone, outside a coffee shop just after work. Overall, I am enjoying this perfume. The only downside is that the smell does not last. You have to spray a few times to keep on smelling it somewhar throughout the day. I wish it would last longer.

Weak Smell
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a huge fan of vanilla-scented items, so I was stoked to try this. But I keep vacillating between liking the smell of this perfume and being put off by it. I definitely get strong notes of vanilla, and it’s pleasant at times. To me, it smells straight up like vanilla extract in a perfume bottle, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing I guess, but I don’t quite know how to feel about it. I’m not totally getting the rich pastry scent mentioned in the perfume’s description. I get a hint of the madeleine pastry, but not in a way that makes you feel warm or indulgent because the perfume isn’t very strong. I also expected something sweeter-smelling, but it’s more earthy. Since this is labeled as a unisex fragrance, I get the impression that they included woody and musky notes to fit that concept, but I’m just not getting that creamy, indulgent, bakery feel from this scent. Strangely, I also get small hints of (and this is going to sound weird) Play-doh. My husband also picked up a slight Play-doh scent and described the perfume overall as smelling strongly “synthetic,” which I guess most perfume is, but I don’t really want my perfume to smell super fake. As for staying power, again the scent isn’t super powerful, even when I put a good amount on. It doesn’t really linger in the air when spraying it, either. I can still smell it a little on my body at the end of the day, but not much. Even after a half hour it fades a bit. This is pretty disappointing, especially given the inspiration behind the scent. Usually cafes or bakeries have such a strong, inviting smell, which this doesn’t have. All in all, I can’t say I totally hated this perfume, but I definitely didn’t love it either. I don’t think it lived up to its description, but if you like the smell of real vanilla (watered down a bit by earthier scents), I could see this maybe being desirable. But I’d probably just pass on it.

Prefect for any vanilla lover

I wasn’t a fan initially as it was a little too warm for me, however after it dried down, it actually smelled really beautiful! The 10 size is perfect for travel or even just to try. It definitely smells just like a madeleine cookie straight from the oven!
