I never got my item

I order this item for my dad’s birthday online 4 days later I got an email saying my order was delivered I was at work while this happened when I get home I started to look for my package!! There was no package to be found I went to both of my neighbors to check if they had mistakenly dropped it there but no luck..I reached out to Macy’s to let them know about the situation but they rejected my claims, I just don’t understand how you would leaving something that expensive in front of a door where anyone might take it!!! Now I lost my money and of course this is it dealing with Macy’s.
