Missing hood from the jacket purchased

I bought this coat for my son’s birthday which is February 6th. Unfortunately when he tried it on just a few days ago he noticed the buttons in the neck of the coat. But there was no hood. I didn’t realize that when I purchased it. My son loves the coat but was disappointed because of this . I’m going to go back to Newport Macy’s store to rectify this issue. So right now I’m disgusted. I love the coat. My son loves the coat but there’s this major problem so what do you suggest?
