Cart table top issue

Unfortunately, there was a misalignment with the holes of the table top and the bar it is to be attached to by screws. I flipped the table top many times to solve the issue but it did not happen. I contacted the vendor with pictures of the misalignment. Their suggestions were futile and I was put in contact with the manfacturer, Their suggestion was a $40 refund and keep the item. I inquired about a return, but have not received a response about details.
