Smells but beautiful
Still trying to get the manufacturing smell out, lots of washing, boiling with vinegar, a trip through the dishwasher and it’s slowly dissipating. I kept it because 1. I’m hopeful that I will remove the scent, 2. it’s strictly metal so no chipping paint down the road, and 3. it’s a beautifully designed, heavy kettle that should last my lifetime.

Came slightly dirty as if previously returned
Was excited for this due to the reviews but when it came it looked slightly dirty and some of the packaging parts weren’t in their proper place (e.g., “Remove before use” tab was at the bottom of unsealed bag it was in), as if previously returned. Especially poor customer experience as I paid full price for this.

love this kettle
Well made and easy to clean. It is heavier than expected but built to last.

LOOKS GREAT, WORKS BADLY
Perhaps I need to revisit the instructions - although I did read them - but while the kettle looks fabulous, it never seems to boil the water (little steam comes from the holes and water not very hot), doesn't hold much water despite its size and hardly whistles). I have a new induction cooktop and have it on speed boost so it starts to boil quickly but never quite finishes. I dragged out my old electric kettle. Very disappointing. All the Meyer products I ordered were excellent - but not this. Doesn't live up to its KitchenAid name

Tea kettle
It's a solid sturdy little kettle. The cover is showing a small area, the size of a dime that is showing some rust. I wipe it but it doesn't clear. Because we can only use it on a small burner, it takes a long time to bring the water to a boil.

Great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very well-made tea kettle. The kettle alone is a great design, stylish, modern kettle. Super sturdy! I love the sound of the kettle when the water is ready. I would highly recommend this kettle.

Built like a truck
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not surprising that KitchenAid products are all over my kitchen. I have a KitchenAid mixer, which is my workhorse, KitchenAid pots and pans, and various utensils and other appliances. I love KitchenAid products because they are always smartly designed and last forever. So when it was time for a new teakettle, I found this one from KitchenAid. First, it is a lovely design. It's retro and futuristic. The coolest part is the loud whistle you hear when the water is boiling. It's just like the whistle your coach would use—very loud. The lid is odd though. It isn't intuitive how to close it and open it. I figured it out. You have to firmly push it down on the large stopper button to close it. To open it, you have to grasp it firmly and pull it open. Countering all of that pushing and tugging is the weight of the kettle itself. It is not light. It is very heavy. In fact, it is very surprisingly heavy when filled with water, so it is not for your dainty grandmother. I call it my tea truck, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it might be too heavy for some folks. That's the only reason why I rate this at 4 stars instead of 5 for value. Overall, if you want a very high-quality KitchenAid product, you can't go wrong, and you'll get another amazing KitchenAid item that will be reliable forever and make your kitchen look great too.

I LOVE this Teakettle!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a daily tea drinker and have been for years. I have never used a kettle until this one, and I am in love! It has a great design and holds quite a bit of tea! I throw a few tea bags in, and the whistle lets me know when the water is boiling and my tea is done! I will never go back to making cup-by-cup in the microwave ever again! I would highly recommend!!!!
