Difficult to thread paper - gets bunched up

I bought this so that my kids could use their paper rolls from Melissa and Doug for whatever size they need. My kids (5 and 8) were so frustrated in pulling the paper through - it keeps ripping or getting bunched up. It was difficult for me to thread as well. I'm not sure if we are missing something obvious (like a loosening option), or if it's defective, but we are pretty disappointed considering the high quality expectations from M&D!

I bought 4!

I love the ability to pull this across the table and let the little artists go to town on it. I bought 1 for each of my sets of grandchildren and 1 for myself. Looking forward to hours of creativity!!

It's ok

Very hard to thread paper and I still can't figure out how to attach the paper to the sides .
