Good tea kettle

Great tea kettle. Fast boil and nice blue LED light. Trying to move away from plastic, so this was a good call.

Top choice in tea kettles !

The tea pot has blue lights when on and shuts off when it is at a boil. That is a great feature. I have had them that keep boiling until the water finishes. It is an attractive white with clear glass.

Water the way we want!

Good first experience!! We boiled water in the kettle for a few rounds to decide if this is for us! The boiled water had no smell which was what we were looking for. If there’s one thing we will miss from our Krups is the ability to choose the temperature. Well, we will keep our GreenPan!

Filter is plastic holding the metal plate.

Filter is not a metal plate it's two metal plates on a plastic flap. Items pictured in this description and on the boxes are identical to the item I received EXCEPT that the filter on my kettle is metal held in a plastic flap. The plastic is nicer looking than other brands but if you're looking for a plastic free kettle like I was this isn't the one. You can write the company and ask them directly if they can send you the "real thing" but it's possible their factory just picked a cheaper part. The box says "items may look different than the picture" I expect more from greenlife, the way the description only mentions the SHAPE of the filter and doesn't confirm what is seen in the picture. The picture indicates the filter is just a metal plate: it is not. I have returned so many kettles to find a safe one I just have to hope this unexpected plastic is safe until I find a truly plastic free option. I have written the company and encourage to you to as well. Better than the rest I guess.
