pretty but very difficult install

We ordered the remote control, and it is too large to fit in the canopy provided. Thankfully the one from our old fan was larger and we were able to use it. They also do not tell you the size of the downrod is 1/2" - our old one was 3/4". Two screws were missing. Extremely heavy fan required two men to install. The light fixture was difficult to get straight. This was not a diy install - we used a licensed electrician. Looks fine, but I would not buy again.

Beautiful fan, but horrible to install.

This is clearly a 5 star, however the installation was so difficult and infuriating that I will shop elsewhere for the next 3 rooms I need to put fans in. They use what they call a "dual" mounting bracket, which has this silly hook instead of a bracket that holds the weight of the fan while you connect the wires. Attaching this heavy fan to the bracket on top of a 10 foot ladder in a 12 foot vaulted ceiling was overly challenging because of the bracket design. Clearly the engineer that dreamed up this ridiculous design never actually installed one of these fans.
