I am obsessed!

I loved this book so much! The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue has everything a reader could want. Right from the beginning, Mackenzie Lee had me hooked in. From highwaymen to pirates and lover quarrels to scandals, this novel is filled with action and plot twists that never get old. The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue is set in the 17th century; it brings the reader through the Grand Tour of Lord Henry "Monty" Montague, Viscount of Disley, who plans to party his tour away with his best friend and secret crush, Percy Newton. This enjoyable adventure soon turns into a manhunt as Monty, Percy, and Felicity (Monty's younger sister) race around Europe. I really enjoyed the protagonists of the story. I felt that Monty had his flaws and I think it made the book more interesting. I have read many books where the main protagonist is perfect which it harder to relate to the book. I love how Mackenzie Lee was able to bring to light the struggles of life in the 17th century in a fun and creative way. Felicity is a strong and independent character who proves herself countless times as one impressive person. She is set back as a woman in the 17th century but continues to persevere and help her friends. On top of that, Percy is the kind of character that you immediately love. He is an absolute sweetheart who seems to bring out the best of Monty. All and all, I felt that this was a very good read. It is just the heartwarming adventure that I needed. I suggest at everyone get a chance to sit down with a nice cup of tea and read this incredible novel. I will definitely be reading the rest of Mackenzie Lee's amazing trilogy.

Love The Book!

Love the book, not a huge fan of the author. But about the book, it was absolutely well written and I really loved the time I spent reading it. It's been a while since then, but I still remember how empty I felt when I finished it, as I had grown to absolutely adore the main characters. It was fun, shocking, and funny all at once. Not a fan of the author and her not so accepting opinions, so I knocked a star off.

Too Good

I got this book in a monthly book subscription box, and may I say, I was absolutely blown away. So many protagonists in books are the same "I'm a good person trying to do a good thing" and it was so refreshing to have a protagonist who was quite the opposite at times. Besides the humor, romance, and adventure of the novel, there is an element of understanding that makes readers feel as though they are heard and understood no matter how much the story relates to them or not. Thank you for a lovely story, Mackenzi Lee.
