Even though I like this brand, I would have to say that this particular mattress is not for people with back problems or hip bursitis. After sleeping on it since December, I have had to put a latex foam topper on this mattress to accommodate my bursitis. I purchased this mattress several years ago and liked it; therefore, I just purchased another in December, but, unfortunately, the newer mattress is not constructed the same way. I'm sorry to say that I will have to look for another brand that is geared more towards back problems.
