Good path to stop reflux. Is it really a cure?

I am very confused. She calls this a cure, but as far as I can tell it is only a maintenance plan to manage symptoms. Am I missing something? Is there any point where you are actually cured? Which would mean you are a normal person again and could eat normal foods like anyone else, in appropriate moderation. It's a good treatment, I'm having immediate improvements and am grateful for the information. It's challenging but doable for short term. The knowledge can go along way in balancing food choices better to avoid overdoing in future. But really, I don't understand at all, is this a forever way of eating and managing the "disease" which you will forever have now or a path back to normal life, therefore a cure?
