Picture color online may not show actual color

The picture on the website seems to show the flatware as a black color but in actuality it is more of a dark gray. I purchased as a gift and asked the recipient is she still wanted it, she was also expecting it to be black. We both went to the store to verify the color and the person that took care of us indicated that the pictures we see online might not show the color exaxtly as it is. She still kept them.

I even avoided dishwasher, the coloring just rubs off

Bought two sets of these for my daughter for Christmas, all the black is coming off this stuff is complete crap
