Bowled Over!

This is the most economical way to go for serving bowls. They do double-duty as mixers and servers!

Italian Countryside bowls

These were on sale which was why I purchased. A couple of them looked to be seconds but not marred enough to warrant a return.

Serviceable but didn’t ship well

These arrived with one badly broken bowl. Mikasa was very easy to work with and my replacement is on the way with almost no inconvenience to me. 2 emails and a photo. While I’d rather them have been in good shape, Mikasa’s customer service is exceptional.

Sloppy

The glaze has holes and the pattern is hardly visible around the top because the pottery is thick. Not the quality Mikasa used to be.

Poor Quality.

I purchased these stacking bowls to add to my Italian Countryside collection. These stacking bowls are poor quality- They chip easily, BREAK easily, get cracks in the glaze after the first wash (in dishwasher) and are not made from the same "clay" as my original set. The scroll detail design around the outside of the rim, which is *The Italian Countryside* design, doesnt look the same as the original dishware. Checking the manufacturing info on the bottom- these stacking bowls are made in China. My original, high quality dishes that I love were made (in 2004) in Malaysia. These stacking bowls, which I bought to use to prep food and to reserve my dinnerware for dinner, now sit on the shelf because I am afraid to use them, lest they break, and I am using my dinnerware as prep-ware when preparing dinner. DON"T BUY THESE. I might get the melamine ones to use when I am prepping and cooking dinner so that I have something to serve dinner on, without having to wash a bunch of bowls.

In love with them.

Love them. Look nicer in person. Although I was expecting them to be Mikassa brand, but I still enjoy them.

Met/exceeded Expectations.

As presented, the pieces are substantial in weight as desired. Colors as depicted on line did not quite meet expectations and are basically black and light brown without any orange tones, but for us that was ok. Overall very pleased with the purchase as they add a nice dimension to our daily living
