not as great as it looks

It does leak but not all the time and it was missing the top but we never replaced cause it was a gift and my husband never returns gifts

Mine doesn’t leak.

This is actually very nice. It’s quite beautiful really. Cleaning the inside is a task that will probably never be undertaken, but a simple workaround to that is to rinse it before use, allow it to air dry pretty much and refill it with whatever you fill it with in the first place. A very nice center piece or figure on any bar probably. aIt comes with two very classy looking sifter type glasses (if I am using the correct term there. Both glasses sit on sine of the decanter so you can swivel it from side to side. The spout stays open until you close Awesome gift for yourself or someone else. The base that the decanter sits on in wood. There is a chance condensation top of the decanter. In closing an air pocket could be created in the spout. The remedy is to lift the glass stopper/lid where you fill the decanter and that will allow the air to escape and the contents to release into your waiting glass. Definitely on the classy side.

it looks great. but it leaks you have to have a glass. its expensive why they have to put a cheap valve that doesnt work.

very beautiful but it leaks

u got this for my dad as a birthday gift. it is very beautiful and a conversation starter. unfortunately that spout does leak on its own and he has had to keep a glass under it to capture any leakage in order to avoid waking up to a puddle of liquor. I would not recommend this item until that leaking issue is resolved. as after further research I have found other consumers complaining about the same defect.
