great but no so great...

Great blender, but now 6 months old and the jar is leaking... Tried to contact support during the weekend, or send them an email. No support during the weekend and no email listed....

So disappointing

I bought this blender two years ago, and it has never worked perfectly. In the beginning, almost in the second month, it started to leak a black liquid from the bottom of the base, and now it is worse, contaminating the food inside the blender. It is so disgusting and potentially harmful. Before this, I always believed that KitchenAid was a good brand.

Kitchenaid Not What It Used to Be

We received this blender for our wedding 4 years ago, and we've used it maybe a combined 10-15 times. We are now planning to throw it out before it starts a fire in our kitchen. When we run it, the motor smells like an electrical fire, and metal shavings shoot out of the motor that have rusted over time. And despite minimal usage, the warranty is expired. While it did work safely, we did enjoy it. But someone spent a lot of money on this for us, and it's now down the drain. This is our 2nd Kitchenaid product from our wedding that has had serious quality issues, so we will be looking for a different brand as a replacement.

The perfect Blend!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So far I am loving this blender! It's been quite some time since I've owned a blender and I don't remember them being this user friendly. I sure appreciate the preset options, it takes the guess work out of it. I've used it quite a bit since receiving it. It's easy to use and easy to clean. My iced coffee drinks and smoothies come out like silk! A recipe called for crushed tomatoes - I had diced......a few pulses in the blender and crushed tomatoes it is! I don't usually have appliances sit on my counters but this is aesthetically pleasing and used enough to warrant a permanent place. It gets confusing with all the blender makes and models on the market today, but the choice was easy. I chose KitchenAid because I believe this blender will be around for years to come.
