The knife is made of carbon steel and comes in a beautiful box. The handle is shaped great and fits my hand perfectly. I use it cut up cucumbers and peppers for my kids lunches. My new favorite knife. It easily cuts, slices and dices.

High quality knife!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very high quality and professional-feeling knife for a deceptively reasonable price. It comes in a really nice presentation box, so would be good for gifting, if you're not superstitious about such things. The knife itself has a heavy weight and wooden handle and is sharp for precision cutting. People underestimate the necessity of good knives in home cooking, and this could benefit almost everyone at home! A real all-rounder. I have never been disappointed by anything from this brand, and this knife is another winner for sure!

Bery sharp not heavy at all

Great, durable knife efficient at chopping, slicing, etc.

Upon first use, it seems pretty durable and like it’ll last awhile before it goes dull. I’m excited to try it out with harder to cut fruits and vegetables to really test its limits!

Exceeded my expectations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JoyJolt 8-in High Carbon Steel Kitchen Chef Knife has become the go-to knife in our house now and has far exceeded my expectations. It is sleek and fits nicely in the hand, is well balanced, and is the perfect size for all of my cutting, slicing, chopping, and julienning needs. The ultimate knife test for me has always been with a tomato, and the JoyJolt sliced through one perfectly and precisely with no rips or tears in the skin whatsoever. The best part is that it is dishwasher safe. Just be sure to make sure it’s completely dry before storing it. I am thoroughly impressed and will be buying more in the future.

High quality knife
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my old chef knife and I'm impressed. It's a much higher quality knife that's still affordable. It came to me razor sharp and it keeps its edge much longer than a softer steel knife. The handle is comfortable and well weighted, it's balanced in your hand. It cleans easily too and nothing gets stuck anywhere in the handle or blade. It sharpens easily and doesn't show any signs of wear after several weeks of use. Great knife.
