My son and friend have the same machine, I have to clean the machine more than they do combined. I have warranty work done because it stopped extraction, but no one can tell me what was fix or replaced. Now the grinder stops working. Their solution is to change the burr settings drastically so the extraction has changed requiring me to change grind amount and time of extraction. I have been using the same bean since I got it, the same ones my son and friend use. Breville excuse? Do a descale and the light turns off, all good! NO! My frequency is more than two others combined! The machine not grinding was blamed on the beans…..the same ones I have been using .

I reckon our Barista Express has made over 2.5k cups of coffee since purchasing it with gift vouchers for our wedding in 2017. Sure, I look after it but not half as much as it’s looked after me!

I bought the machine for my wife because my wife loves Starbucks and Coffee bean and those special coffees not instant. Now she loves it, she gets up early in the morning just to make it....It's beautiful for the price!....Everyone should have one in their home! 🏡

Great value with everything you need to make that first Espresso!
This is definitely great for beginners who want to get into espressos, however, I do wish Breville/Sage would integrate a more consistent grinder into this setup, especially now they own the Baratza brand which makes great burr grinders for a similar price range. The only draw back for this machine would be the lack of a better grinder.

Amazing. Coming up to 10 years old now...
Absolutely amazing. Bought in December 2015, average 6 cups a day, still going strong. Replaced gasket twice. Cleaned every month with 500ml distilled vinegar + water + sage cleaning tablet..

Lack of information
When set correctly the coffee is delicious but I found the instructions or lack of poor and it’s a matter of experimenting. A written instruction manual would be so useful as a reference.

Total Pressure Loss
After 3 weeks of use returned the machine due to a total loss of pressure Tried all adjustments and came to the conclusion that the machine was faulty. It did last 3 weeks and worked well then overnight it failed.

Top equipment, best coffee.
I am simply delighted with this coffee machine, several times per day. I just add beans and water, my daughter has the frothy milk, and in less than 2 mins I have the best coffee at home at a fraction of the cost of a coffeeshop.
